Hideaki Ibuki joined MITI in 1991 and has held roles spanning the automobile and creative industries divisions, the Tokyo 2020 Olympic & Paralympic secretariat, and the Kansai Bureau of Economy, Trade and Industry. He holds an MBA from Vanderbilt University.
